Artist Residency & Programs in Asuka

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Artist Residency & Programs in the historic village of Asuka, located in Nara Prefecture, Japan. Founded by artists Rose B. Stanford d.school Graduates in Asuka, Japan

What a gift it has been to welcome graduates of Stanford d.school to Kayanomori in Asuka, Japan.
Together we explored the Asuka Art Immersion program, a collaboration between Stanford and amu arts in Asuka, through creative practice, embodiment, and conversations about how traditions can inspire innovation.

It has been inspiring to watch these talented young professionals fully engage, observe closely, and build deep connections with the land, people, and cultural traditions of Asuka. We look forward to continuing to develop immersive learning experiences at Kayanomori in the years ahead.
